The key to finding a job in the Islands is to set a date for departure and contact a host of employers the week before you leave. Tell them when you are arriving and ask for an interview. Before you call, already contact apartment managers and real estate agents to find out available apartments for rent; this will allow you to preempt one of the first questions the employer will ask, "Do you have a place to stay?"

When you arrive, spend the first day, before interviews, checking out apartments. One of the biggest turn-offs for an employer is a job seeker that doesn't know where they will stay even if they are offered the job. The other turn-off is a job seeker that only has one interview lined up. If you have already done your research for apartments and can honestly say that you have several interviews, your chances of getting hired will vastly increase.

Some of the top employment destinations for U.S. and U.K. citizens are; Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The reason that these Islands are the top job destinations is that work visas are either not required for U.S. and U.K. citizens or they are very easy to obtain. Another reason is that English is the primary language in all of the Islands listed above.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Tommy_Hayes

http://EzineArticles.com/?Caribbean---Finding-Jobs,-Employment&id=1628259

All Inclusive Bahamas - Experience All That the Bahamas Has to Offer

Image via Wikipedia
By Alice Lane

You may not have realized this but the Bahamas is actually made up of 700 islands. Many of these islands can be considered tiny and are not inhabited but many of them are actually very popular tourist destinations. The Bahamas are a great set of islands that offer much of the east coast of the United States a great and easy way to vacation. The islands in the Bahamas are located approximately sixty miles off the coast of the state of Florida and are a real treat for many Floridians and east coast vacationers who want a quick trip.

The Bahamas are popular for both vacations for singles and also for vacations for weddings. Although these are polar opposite types of vacations the Bahamas are popular for both. The Bahamas are also popular for vacationing families. The Bahamas have long stretches of beaches that sparkle and twinkle and walk you right into the beautiful warm ocean. That is one thing about the Bahamas that makes things comfortable is the warm temperature of the ocean. The weather in the Bahamas is also very mild and inviting pretty much year around.

Because of the location of the Bahamas to the east coast of the United States the islands are a viable option for last minute vacation packages. The island of New Providence is home to the most popular Nassau, Paradise Island, and Cable Beach which have a lot of direct appeal to travelers and tourists. On this island vacationers can enjoy fine and gourmet dining, waterfront activities, shopping, and even golf. There has been a lot of construction and reshaping of the island to add more appeal and options for travelers. The island is really very dependent on tourism and has made the most out of what they have to offer vacationers.

If you are considering traveling to the Bahamas for your upcoming vacation then you should consider looking up SuperClubs. Whether are planning a wedding, attending a wedding or even just looking for vacations for singles you can find it on that sight. There are also great options for last minute vacation packages. If you are considering going all inclusive then you can find all inclusive Bahamas easily that will suit any of your needs and desires.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Alice_Lane

http://EzineArticles.com/?All-Inclusive-Bahamas---Experience-All-That-the-Bahamas-Has-to-Offer&id=1695810

Caribbean Jobs - Find an Overseas Job and Broaden Your Horizons

Image by *Edu Alarcon* via Flickr

By Simon M Skinner

Are you stuck in a dead-end job? Does the idea of becoming a career man and working your way up the ladder just to get stuck in another dead-end job not appeal to you? Then why not forget all of your urban anxiety and come live in the Caribbean? Relax, this isn't a get-rich-quick scheme-you can actually trade your average job for a new life in the beautiful and exotic Caribbean region.

Using an overseas job search service, you can find a job in the Caribbean and head out to warmer and more exciting regions. Imagine a job where all of your customers are on vacation and where your surroundings are like a tropical paradise! Wait a minute, though. Maybe you have family in the United States or a nearby country and are hesitant about leaving the land you love. No worries, like any other type of job, there is part time work, full time work and temporary positions available in the Caribbean all year long.

What region constitutes the Caribbean? You can have your choice of working jobs on Cayman Island, in Bermuda, the Bahamas, BVI, Aruba, USVI, Trinidad, Antigua, Puerto Rico and Dominica. What kind of jobs can you look forward to working? It depends on your own skill level and experience.

You may have specialized skills and thus qualify for a traveling accountant job or a web content designer. If you are seeking an entry-level job then you could find an overseas career as a sales associate or retail clerk. You can seek employment in the Caribbean just as you would in the rest of North America.

Can you legally work in another country? Of course, though you would have to keep track of paperwork and other financial information such as health insurance, professional fees and taxes. You also have to make plans to pay your living expenses such as airfare, housing, transportation, schooling and telephone/Internet expenses. The process is not complicated but it is best to deal with a professional agency that can help you get started working abroad.

JobInTheSun.com offers this service and helps all new members with their travel documents, the job search, tips on how to apply and get the position, as well as information on financial planning. You don't have to live the rest of your life performing a job you don't like. You can make a change now and start working in the Caribbean paradise of your dreams.

Simon M Skinner has worked in the recruitment industry since 1994. This method may be more helpful for those already living in the Caribbean, but with some extra time and effort it can work for those who are overseas and looking for Caribbean jobs so that they may relocate to a nicer climate.

Another way that you can search for Caribbean jobs is through a headhunter or a recruiting agency. There are multiple sources of national and international recruiting companies that will hold your resume until they have a position from one of their clients become available. They will also try to match your resume and qualification with an employment opportunity that they already have available.

A recruiting is one of the best choices that you can make when searching for a Caribbean job. Not only are you able to promote your resume and push yourself as a positive choice for the position, but so can the recruiter. Your recruiter will act as a second set of eyes and ears about anything happening with the position in which you interview, as well as help you continue your search with other companies and other available postings.

The last method for searching for a job in the Caribbean, however, will give you the most freedom and availability to access the information on your own. A quick 45 minute flight from Fort Lauderdale or Miami will get you into Freeport. It is a very popular destination because of its close proximity and the fact that US dollars are widely accepted. There are two main clusters of hotels and resorts on Grand Bahama Island. One is at the Port Lucaya area located on the south shore of island and the other is near downtown Freeport which is more inland. There are also other individual resorts scattered around the west and south shores of the 97 by 17 mile island.

Most of the hotels here are next to the Port Lucaya Marketplace which is a collection of restaurants, boutiques and other retail services. In addition to the higher end retail, there are also small outdoor vendors selling cheaper goods such as souvenirs and t-shirts. One should be aware that much of the items available for sale from these vendors are not actually made in the Bahamas but overseas in Asia. There is also a nice sized marina here for those coming to the island via private boat. For those interested in scuba diving, the Unexso operator is very convenient since it is located next to the marketplace. There are also deep sea fishing excursions offered here as well. At the center of the marketplace is the Count Basie Square where free entertainment is featured on some evenings. A casino is on location here as well. The white sand beach is quite nice with no rocks in the water but it could use some cleaning up since I did see some cigarette butts and small litter scattered around. This is also true for some of the areas around the Port Lucaya area in general as it seems that nobody wants to take responsibility for bottles and other trash visible to tourists.

Most people came to Grand Bahama Island for scuba diving, deep sea fishing or just to relax by the beach. There are other activities available in Grand Bahama Island including golf, horseback riding, sea kayaking and bird watching but these didn’t seem to be too popular.

Most jobs available here in the Bahamas are in hotel and restaurant industry. So meaning almost all kinds of jobs are needed here. From constructions to medical professionals are needed in Jobs in Bahamas.
